Lea Michele is the first guest on her Glee co-stars Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz‘s new podcast, in which they will be recapping old episodes of their fan favorite series.
The 33-year-old actress joined her friends to talk about the pilot, which she rewatched right before recording the podcast.
Lea dated co-star Cory Monteith for several years, right up until he unexpectedly died in 2013 from an accidental overdose. She opened up about how one of his scenes made her emotional during this rewatch, even though it never did in the past.
Mar 21, 2015 Rachel sang her final solo, “This Time,” completely alone in the auditorium. The tune, written by costar Criss, was the perfect Rachel Berry song — totally reflective on her McKinley days.
“The moments that made me so emotional were not anything that ever has made me emotional before about the show. One of them was when [Cory] took [Kevin] out of that port-a-potty. There were so many moments that you see the whole arc of a character for a whole season in one moment. Him taking [Kevin] out of that bathroom, and you see Finn’s heart. Oh my God,” Lea said.
Kevin also said that the scene was one his “most memorable parts” of filming the pilot.

Cory Monteith‘s tragic passing last month left fans of Glee wondering what would happen to his beloved character Finn when the new season begins this fall.
“The third episode will write Finn out of the show,” Fox’s Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly said during the TCA tour for the network (via ET). “That episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Cory‘s passing and the drug abuse in particular.”
“Ryan [Murphy] will shoot some PSA’s with the cast, who will speak directly to the audience,” he added. Little snitch license key 4.3.2.
